About The Role and Team
This role focuses upon building relationships with external partners and clients centred around Quantum Motion’s applications and algorithms offerings. You will help manage existing engagements and identify new opportunities in areas complementary to quantum computing. Engagements can range from early-stage research to paid proof-of-concept projects, and can involve partners in industry and academia. You will represent the company at conferences, partner meetings, and other events.
As an interface between commercial and science-based activities at the company, this position will require a technically capable individual who will enjoy an outwards-facing role, has strong communication skills, and is keen to explore how quantum algorithms can solve problems in industry. You will build up a broad technical understanding of our technical capabilities, including hardware strengths, the software stack, and the toolbox of quantum algorithms.
Using knowledge gained from external discussions, you will provide feedback to internal teams at Quantum Motion to improve our software and products. This role requires familiarity with standard quantum software libraries, typically Python-based, and you will gain experience with using our software stack. You will use these skills to test our software and provide feedback to ensure it provides the best experience for our users.
This is therefore a rare and exciting opportunity to be an early employee at a start-up shaping the future of quantum computing. Being a small team and having a flat structure, this is a great opportunity to contribute to new developments within the field. There are multiple opportunities for professional growth and to make impacts within the company.
