Aistetic was founded with a clear purpose: to make 3D body measurements accessible to everyone from mobile devices, anyplace, and anytime. We are keen to do so sustainably, reducing material wastage, carbon footprint, and encouraging more eco-friendly practices in the apparel industry. Innovation partners helping us on our mission include the University of Oxford, Innovate UK, OxLEP, 5pring, and DMS Accelerator. At Albus Health, we have developed Albus Home RD, a completely passive and contactless home monitoring device that monitors patients while they sleep without burdening them. We capture physiological metrics such as respiratory rate, cough, and more, and environmental metrics such as air quality, humidity, and temperature. Our solution enables the capture of a high quantity and quality of data from remote monitoring in research and clinical care.

Amber Therapeutics is a University of Oxford spinout developing next-generation, intelligent bioelectrical therapies to transform clinical outcomes in patients with functional disorders of the peripheral nervous system. Amber’s approach leverages closed-loop intelligence to create ‘synthetic reflex arcs’ that can sense, interpret, adapt, and respond to a patient’s individual signals, thereby restoring normal physiological function. Amber Therapeutics was founded by a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, translational neuroengineers, MedTech industry professionals, and experienced entrepreneurs focused on developing transformational therapy innovation for major unmet medical conditions. The company was spun out from the University of Oxford in 2021 and is backed by Oxford Science Enterprises and 8VC.

Archangel Lightworks is a laser communications company building high-volume, secure, wireless technology to create the space-enabled networks of the future. Today, space and terrestrial networks are not well-connected, leading to insecure, insufficient, and vulnerable infrastructure. Nearly 3 billion people are unconnected, and many more are under-connected. Subsea cables, which form the backbone of global network infrastructure, are at risk from climate disaster and bad actors. Links between satellites, which offer an opportunity for resilient connectivity, and the ground are reliant on radio, which is bandwidth constrained, finite, and not secure. Archangel Lightworks was set up to solve the space-ground connectivity problem. Wireless laser communications (Lasercom) technology offers new solutions; however, adoption of the technology has been slow due to availability concerns, lack of interoperability standards, and difficulties associated with Lasercom on the move.
