This hybrid role combines hands-on repair and maintenance of ONI hardware systems (approximately 70%) with ownership of repair stock management and logistics support activities (approximately 30%). The position plays a key role in ensuring high system uptime, accurate inventory control, and smooth operational support across Service, Supply Chain, and Logistics functions.
Your Role at ONI
- Determine root cause issues with hardware systems through on-site and online troubleshooting.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer technical enquiries related to system components and hardware workflows.
- Deliver scheduled maintenance work and corrective repairs as directed by Senior Manager, Operations.
- Prepare, submit, and file repair documentation in line with internal reporting standards.
- Maintain records to ensure service history and asset data are accurate and traceable.
- Gather and report customer feedback on performance, feature requests, and product improvements.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of internal knowledge bases, including fault-finding guides, troubleshooting steps, FAQs, and work instructions (WIs).
- Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to identify and escalate recurring hardware issues or design-related root causes.
- Take full ownership of repair stock management, including accurate storage, issuing, tracking, and reconciliation of inventory in San Diego.
- Track part allocations and material usage to support field service operations and reduce system downtime.
- Assist with kitting and shipping of parts or consumables to support day-to-day logistics activities.
- Provide cover for logistics operations during staff absence or peak periods.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance stock accuracy, repair turnaround time, and overall process efficiency.
- Work closely with Field Service Engineers, Manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure operational alignment and timely delivery of customer commitments.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety and ISO-aligned quality management standards in all repair and warehouse activities.
- Contribute to achieving departmental KPIs such as MTTR, PM compliance, OTIF, and stock accuracy.
