In this role you will build software solutions for the automation of super-resolution microscopy, image analysis to enable non-expert scientists to gain rapid and actionable insights using super-resolution across academic research, drug development, and diagnostics.
Your Role at ONI:
- Build solutions/applications from end to end - from the database to the user interface.
- Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences.
- “Pixel-perfect” implementation of our approved user interface
- Design and construction of APIs
- Develop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements.
- Contribute to architecture for building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale
- Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment.
- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers
- Review and approve software design and code
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including software engineering, product management, bioware, chemistry, and hardware ensuring seamless integration and alignment of goals across all departments
Essential skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as full stack developer.
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in building large scale applications.
- Experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs
- Excellent programming skills in at least one of the following: Python, React, JavaScript, Angular
- Familiarity with database technology such as Postgress/MongoDB/MySQL.
- Excellent debugging and optimization skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desired skills and qualifications:
- Experience of developing embedded software/hardware-software integrated solutions.
- Experience of developing microscopy/scientific software.
- Knowledge of GRPC framework or other IPC frameworks.
