Posted on Feb 13, 2026

Mind Foundry works on some of the most complex and urgent challenges in Defence and National Security. We specialise in supporting customers to make sense—at the speed of relevance—from the ever-increasing volumes of data collected by sensors and systems. We often find ourselves working at the edge in complex environments where power, compute, and bandwidth are in short supply, including operational maritime settings.

As our Maritime Lead, you will be responsible for driving Mind Foundry’s growth across the UK Maritime Defence and Security community, including Navy, MOD, and industry partners delivering capability across surface, subsurface, and maritime aviation domains.

More than anything, we are looking for someone who thrives being part of a high performing team; humble yet ambitious and motivated by a sense of mission. The work is challenging, customers need products and applications they can trust in operational environments, and the sense of achievement is therefore substantial.

This role can be office-based or hybrid (UK only), with you expected to work from our Summertown, Oxford office at least one day per week. You will also be required to travel to client sites and partner/customer locations as needed.

You should be willing and eligible to apply for and obtain UK security clearance if you do not hold an existing clearance.

Key Deliverables:

  • Own and drive forward our business expansion into the UK Maritime Defence and Security market.
  • Build and execute on a sales and go-to-market plan in line with our strategy. You will have a high degree of autonomy. Therefore, experience in sales and/or business development is a must.
  • Mind Foundry’s technology offering is world class, novel and innovative. We are looking for someone who understands technology and can articulate the value our technology provides to maritime organisations operating in complex and contested environments.
  • Own the end-to-end commercial lifecycle, from market engagement and opportunity qualification through bid execution, contract negotiation, and account expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own revenue delivery and growth for the Maritime sector, including pipeline generation, opportunity management, forecasting, and deal closure.
  • Articulate the value of Mind Foundry’s AI, translating technical capability into clear operational and mission outcomes for maritime customers.
  • Build and grow senior customer relationships across the UK Maritime ecosystem, including MOD, Navy stakeholders, primes, and partners.
  • Expand and develop accounts, securing follow-on work, programme growth, and long-term engagements.
  • This is a sales-led, commercially accountable role that requires a strong understanding of Defence and maritime sales mechanics, including long sales cycles, complex stakeholder environments, and regulated procurement processes.
  • Act as the commercial bridge between customers and internal teams, ensuring solutions are deliverable, scalable, and commercially sound.
  • Provide market and customer insight to inform product direction and Maritime strategy.

Growth/Future:

  • ‘A rising tide lifts all boats’ – this is a growth role. Successfully growing the Maritime portfolio directly enables individual career growth. You can grow with the business, and we are rooting for you.

Essential:

  • 5+ years' experience in sales and business development and/or account management in Maritime Defence or related Defence sectors.
  • Proven track record in sales of cutting-edge technology products and services.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty and operating with minimal direction.
  • Being a good team player who is mission driven.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively manage and/or implement all phases of projects and tasks to ensure smooth delivery.

Desirable:

  • Ability to manage complex relationships with large commercial organisations, ensuring that Mind Foundry's products and services are integrated into customers’ maritime capability roadmaps.
  • Highly proficient at managing multiple initiatives and activities ranging from simple to complex; short to long term.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills that ensure contract renewals.
  • A track record of product and revenue growth, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
