Overview
We’re looking for a full-time Business Development Lead to help shape and deliver our commercial strategy. This is a collaborative and high-impact role focused on building strong customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and contributing to sustainable business growth. You’ll work closely with our manufacturing, technical, and operations teams across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of customers within a defined region or product area
- Support the development and implementation of FluoRok’s commercial strategy
- Lead customer engagement and sales activities for our manufactured products
- Identify and nurture new business opportunities and partnerships
- Negotiate commercial terms and manage contracts with transparency and integrity
- Collaborate across teams to align commercial and operational goals
Essential Requirements
- Commercial/Business development experience in the general chemicals and/or fluorochemicals sector (e.g. LiPF₆, electrolytes, inorganic fluorides)
- A track record in business development or opportunity identification
- Strong understanding of commercial, legal, and contractual frameworks
- Financial and technical literacy to support informed decision-making
- Clear and confident communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data effectively and build basic financial models
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable working independently and in teams
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed
Desirable Requirements
- Experience working with Indian chemical companies or knowledge of the Indian market
- Fluency in an additional language such as German, Japanese or Hindi (or Indian subcontinent languages)
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in the chemicals industry
- Background in logistics, procurement, or supply chain within the sector
- Understanding of sustainability and ESG metrics and how they shape value propositions
- Experience with supplier qualification and negotiation processes
- Right to live and work in the UK
Salary range: Competitive / dependent on experience
