  • Plan and conduct regular configuration audits to verify compliance with design requirements, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines

  • Support and maintain the creation of specific configuration documentation required in support of customer programmes

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the configuration management process, seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy while adhering to regulatory standards.

Skills and experience required:

  • Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering with previous proven experience in a design and development environment

  • Familiarity with aerospace industry regulations and standards, including but not limited to AS9100, ISO 9001, FAR Part regulations, DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754, ARP4761, ISO 10007, EIA 649 and others

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing complex configuration data and documentation with effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and regulatory authorities

  • An understanding of and commitment to well-defined configuration management processes and procedures with analytical and problem-solving skills to assess the impact of configuration changes and evaluate compliance with regulations

  • Experience with data management systems (PDM. PLM or SharePoint etc.) and ensuring data integrity and traceability

  • Proficiency in document control and the ability to maintain accurate bills of material

  • A commitment to quality control and compliance with industry standards, ensuring that components and assemblies meet quality requirements

  • Proficiency in project management principles, as configuration management often involves coordinating tasks related to system changes and updates
