Evolito’s mission is to accelerate the adoption of electric propulsion in aerospace applications in support of a net-zero world. We will help to revolutionise personal mobility and transform our towns and cities with clean, noise-free air transportation.

Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.

As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.

As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for an Adhesives Technical Specialist to lead the development, qualification, and compliance on our path to airworthiness certification. This role is critical in ensuring the structural integrity, performance, and compliance of bonded assemblies throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the selection, development, and qualification of adhesive materials, ensuring compliance with aerospace certification and airworthiness standards
  • Provide technical expertise on bonding processes, surface preparation, interfacing components, cure cycles, and manufacturing controls
  • Develop, verify, and validate adhesive joint designs using analysis, testing, and simulation to ensure structural integrity and optimal performance
  • Investigate adhesive and material-related issues across the product lifecycle, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including design, analysis, systems, manufacturing, and quality—to integrate adhesive solutions into complex assemblies
  • Support supplier engagement and evaluation to ensure material quality, process capability, and alignment with aerospace requirements
  • Develop new measurement methodologies, manufacturing processes, and quality control checks to enhance reliability and robustness
  • Stay current with industry standards, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments related to adhesives and bonding
  • Document technical findings, specifications, and qualification results to support traceability and compliance
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives focused on materials innovation, sustainability, and lifecycle performance
  • Support the wider materials team and perform other duties as required.

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in adhesive bonding within an industrial setting, ideally in aerospace or automotive sectors
  • Strong materials engineering background with a focus on adhesives, their selection, bonding processes, joint design, and the ability to apply this knowledge to real-world challenges
  • Broad understanding of materials and their manufacturing processes, including metals, polymers, composites, and adhesives
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to implementing effective solutions
  • Strong communication skills with experience engaging suppliers and customers
  • Willingness to travel as required, both domestically and internationally
  • Approachable, collaborative, and team-oriented
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Materials Engineering or a related discipline
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
