Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.

As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.

As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a Graduate Safety and Reliability Engineer to support the development of appropriate safety and reliability cases for both new and existing products, contributing to system design activities and helping to demonstrate compliance with customer requirements and applicable aerospace standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the processes in performing product safety case , FHA, DFMEA, FTA, PSSA, PRA, CMA, ZSA regarding battery systems and powertrain for aerospace applications

  • Supporting the product safety cases based on aerospace regulation requirements

  • Involvement in the product maintainability and level of repair analyses

  • Assisting with the creation and implementation of the process of product developed to ARP 4754 ensuring specific reliability, safety and maintainability requirements are generated and flowed down in development projects; with a specific focus around ARP 4761 for safety analysis

  • Assisting in determining safety goals and DAL for the systems

  • Supporting generation of documentation and supporting items.

Skills and experience required:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent

  • Understanding of functional safety and systems process in an aerospace environment

  • Familiar with requirement tracking systems (CodeBeamer, JIRA and Confluence)

  • Familiar with the use of FHA, DFMEA tools

  • Confident and able to articulate complex issues in a succinct manor

  • Ability to quickly pick up new tasks and understand issues, find solutions, and implement

  • Ability to work under pressure while managing conflicting demands against tight deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Creative problem-solving abilities with an analytical approach to implementation

  • Self-motivated with the determination to succeed

  • A flexible approach to work with the desire to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment

  • UK driving license and be willing to support occasional travel.
