Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.

As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.

As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for an to Electronic Equipment Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of electronic equipment (such as a motor control unit) and associated embedded software for customer projects, including leading customer meetings, negotiating and scheduling with customers and internal teams, tracking and packaging deliverables, leading issue resolution, preparing and scheduling gateway reviews, and estimating resources and costs.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the planning, scheduling and delivery of the electronic equipment for customer projects
  • Join regular customer meetings and support customer negotiations on project deliverables and timing
  • Liaise with internal project teams on deliverables and timing
  • Provide timely escalation of schedule delays or scope reduction
  • Work with the technical teams to organise and prepare technical and business gateway reviews (e.g. design reviews, equipment builds, verification reviews, etc)
  • Lead issue resolution activities with the electronics, software, mechanical and other teams
  • Coordinate with other departments to deliver the verified electronics equipment
  • Support the integration of the electronics equipment with the other parts of the system (e.g. motor) to help deliver the final configured system to the customer.

Skills and experience required:

  • An experienced technical project management
  • Preferred degree in electronics, software or mechanical engineering, physics or similar
  • Experience in delivering complex engineering products in areas such as aerospace, automotive, rail or industry – ideally in a safety-critical application
  • Prior experience in working with aerospace development standards such as ARP4754 is high desirable.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A 'self-starter' attitude with energy and enthusiasm, with the ability to thrive in a small business environment
  • Expected to work on site minimum 4 days per week
  • Ability to work under pressure while managing conflicting demands against tight deadlines

Desirable:

  • Prior experience of working with aerospace development standards such as ARP4754
