Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation.

As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.

As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a PLM & ALM Engineer to oversee the definition, configuration, and ongoing support of PLM, ALM, CAD, and related systems ensuring optimal performance and user proficiency across engineering teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Architect, configuration and maintenance key business systems:
    • Siemens NX CAD and Team Center PLM system
    • PTC Codebeamer
    • Granta materials database
    • SharePoint repositories
  • Acting as the Subject Matter Expert, leading engineers in the application of the core tools to ensure a high level of data quality and user proficiency is achieved
  • Advise on and support the integrating with interfacing systems
  • Delivery of user guidance, training, and procedures to achieve best practice in the use of the systems
  • Support the development, testing and final deployment of any new or upgraded tools
  • Maintenance of legacy CAD and PDM data within the SolidWorks environment
  • Support IT in defining hardware and software upgrades and testing
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendor and partners to resolve issues
  • Research and maintain good knowledge of the latest PLM, ALM, and CAD technologies and tools.

Skills and experience required:

  • Analytical and methodical by nature with a good attention to detail, ability to distil user needs into requirements, and capable of prioritising work backlog
  • A good understanding of the PLM and ALM system, in an aerospace or automotive background, (or similar) and data management
  • A good fundamental understanding of CAD systems (preferably NX) operation and the engineering design process
  • Experienced in delivering user support, creation of guidance documentation, and delivery of training
  • Skilled in project planning, system testing, and data migration
  • Good communication skills, and stakeholder management. You will have demonstrable experience of delivering a clear message to audiences at all levels of seniority
  • A working knowledge of system workflows and business processes, such as CAD release, BOM structures, change management, etc
  • Flexible approach to work, desire to thrive in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.

Desirable skills and experience

  • The ability to develop other SQL databases, for example production data storage and reporting, would be advantageous
  • The ability to specify system related hardware such as CAD stations, servers etc. would be advantageous.
